Govt. ITI Jogindernagar commenced in 2000, offering initial trades in COPA, Plumber with sanctioned intake 36.
Trade Expansion:
- 2001: Introduced Dress Making and Embroidery & Needle Work.
- August 2006: Added 2nd Shift for Dress Making and Embroidery & Needle Work under IMC.
- August 2008: Introduced Cutting & Sewing and Hair & Skin Care trades.
- 2008: Selected for upgradation under the PPP mode with ₹2.50 crore funding from the World Bank.
- August 2009: Started 2nd Shift of COPA trade and two shifts for Fitter and Electrician trades.
- 2010: Added the 3rd Shift of Electrician trade.
- August 2012: Started two shifts of Motor Mechanic Vehicle trade under IMC/PPP mode.
- August 2013: Added the third shift of the Motor Mechanic Vehicle trade.
- 2014: Introduced the third shift of the Fitter trade.
- 2015: Started the second shift of the Plumber trade.
- At present we have total intake capacity of 412 trainees in 9 trades (19 shifts).
Relocation & Further Expansion:
- 2012: Relocated to Dohag, 3 km from Joginder Nagar Bus Stand on Sainthal Road.
- The institute expanded its footprint, acquiring 11-10-07 Bighas land and construct the whole infrastructure like Two bulidings (Administrative Block & Workshop Block), play grounds etc.
- The Institute Management Committee (IMC) of ITI Jogindernagar has been registered under the HP Societies Registration Act 2006 on 14th July 2008. This society received an interest free loan of Rs. 2.50 Crore under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme "Up-gradation of 1396 Govt ITIs through Public Private Partenship(PPP Mode)" in the year 2008. After implemetation of this scheme, institute achieved significant milestones i.e. under this scheme, we started 07 new trades including 13 shifts and upgraded the existing infrastructure and also construct a Workshop Block under IMC/PPP Mode of an amount Rs. 1 Crore.
